Eze 44:23 ” ‘They are to teach my people the difference between holy and common and enable them to distinguish between clean and unclean. Exo 28:4 “The garments they are to make are these: a breastplate, a ritual vest, a robe, a checkered tunic, a turban and a sash. They are to make holy garments for your brother Aharon and his sons, so that he can serve me in the office of cohen. Eph 6:13 So take up every piece of war equipment YEHOVAH provides; so that when the evil day comes, you will be able to resist; and when the battle is won, you will still be standing. Eph 6:14 Therefore, stand! Have the belt of truth buckled around your waist, put on righteousness for a breastplate, Eph 6:15 and wear on your feet the readiness that comes from the Good News of shalom. Eph 6:16 Always carry the shield of trust, with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the Evil One. Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of deliverance; along with the sword given by the Spirit, that is, the Word of YEHOVAH; Holy-H6944 qodesh (871c); from an unused word; apartness, sacredness: – consecrated (2), consecrated thing (1), consecrated things (2), dedicated (1), dedicated gifts (2), dedicated things (5), holiness (9), Holy (6), holy (263), holies (6), holy ones (1), holy portion (3), holy thing (2), holy things (12), most holy (25), most holy place (6), most holy things (6), sacred (2), sacred gifts (2), sacred things (3), sacrifices (1), sacrificial (1), sanctuary (65), set apart (1), thing most holy (2), things that are most holy (1), things dedicated (1). (NASEC) Exo 15:11 Who is like unto Thee, O YEHOVAH, among the mighty? who is like unto Thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?
YEHOVAH/GOD has called us to be consecrated and devoted to Him in every area of our lives.
There are at least 522 Vs regarding the word Holy and 43 vs regarding Holiness in The Holy Scriptures.
The Tabernacle was set aside as holy. The Garments of the Priest were holy The Utensils were holy.
The Furniture was holy Everything that was used to serve YEHOVAH was holy.
We have been set aside to serve YEHOVAH, therefore we are holy/set apart for His service.
We have been doing a study on the Priestly Garments, which I believe are the Garments that we are to put on according to Ephesians 6:13-17. I do not believe Shaul/Paul was talking about the armour of a Roman pagan soldier but about the Holy Garments of the priesthood.
For a detailed teaching go to The Priestly Garments of the Believer
According to the studies done by the Temple Institute of Israel the Meaning of the garments were:
The Tunic, which covers most of the priest body, atones for killing.
The pants atone for sexual transgressions.
The Turban, worn on the head, atone for haughtiness.
The belt, worn about the body and worn over the heart atones for “Sins of the Heart” – improper thoughts
The Breastplate atones for error in judgement
The ephod atones for idolatry
The robes atones for evil speech
The High Priests crown atones for Arrogance
These garments should be a reminder to us of the Atonement of YESHUA Our High Priest who has called us to a holy walk…
Walking in His righteousness since it is white and since it covers the whole body it represents the sin in our lives that would try to kill us daily, and that it is only the blood of Messiah that washes us white as snow.
Walk free from sexual transgressions
Walk free from haughtiness
Walk free from Sins of the Heart-improper thoughts
Walk in righteous judgment
Walk free from idolatry in our life
Walk free from LaShon Hara-Evil Speech
Walk free from arrogance but walk humbly before YEHOVAH/GOD
1Pe 1:13 Therefore, get your minds ready for work, keep yourselves under control, and fix your hopes fully on the gift you will receive when YESHUA the Messiah is revealed. 1Pe 1:14 As people who obey YEHOVAH, do not let yourselves be shaped by the evil desires you used to have when you were still ignorant. 1Pe 1:15 On the contrary, following the Holy One who called you, become holy yourselves in your entire way of life; 1Pe 1:16 since the Tanakh says, “You are to be holy because I am holy.”1Pe 2:9 But you are a chosen people, the King’s cohanim, a holy nation, a people for YEHOVAH to possess! Why? In order for you to declare the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
Read Psalm 119: 65-72
Psa 119:65ט (Tet) You have treated your servant well, YEHOVAH, in keeping with your word.
