Updated: May 14, 2023

DAILY PRAYER FOR THE COUNTING OF THE OMER:

Each day, one says the blessing:

Blessed are You, YEHOVAH our ELOHIM, King of the universe, Who has sanctified us with His commandments and has commanded us concerning the counting of the Omer.

Today is thirty-ninth day of the Omer. The Merciful One, may He bring forth the new Jerusalem, speedily in our days,  IN YESHUA's name AMEN

Omer Counting 39 days, which is five weeks and four days of the Omer.

Week 6 /Attribute 6 – Foundation/Bonding/Connection (Yesod)

We have completed 5 weeks counting to Shavuot

Sitting At The Feet Of Our Master YESHUA

Principle #5 – We are to pray to YEHOVAH GOD Alone

“We believe with complete faith that the Creator YEHOVAH, blessed be His Name, is the only One to whom we should pray, and it is not proper to pray to any other”

Matthew 6:6 But you, when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. Your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. John 14:13 “Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the FATHER may be glorified in the SON. Joh 14:14 “If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. John 15:16 “You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the FATHER in My name He may give to you. John 16:24 “Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full. 1Ti 2:5 For there is one GOD, and one mediator also between GOD and men, and his name is YESHUA HAMASHIACH,

“I believe with complete faith that we are to pray to our Heavenly Father In The Name of YESHUA our mediator and Messiah. To pray in His Name is to enter the Holy of Holies because He is our Cohen HaGadol and it is In His Name that I may come before the very throne of YEHOVAH and sit at His feet and bring my prayers, my praise, my worship and my thanksgiving to my Father before His very Throne.”

“When a congregation is deeply absorbed in prayer, a new entity is created-no longer a collection of individuals, but a Kahal Kodesh (Holy Congregation)is praying in unison. Each worshipper then becomes a part of a greater unit, drawing strength from the other worshippers, and giving a part of himself in return. Whether consciously or unconsciously, a new set of experience is created through these interrelated communal components.”

There is nothing so sweet as spending time alone with our FATHER in prayer. There is nothing so powerful then when we come together as a Community in prayer. We need both. We need to spend time daily with the FATHER in prayer and we need to spend time as a Community in prayer. YESHUA prayed alone and also prayed with His brethren and Talmidim in the Synagogue.

When we come before His Throne we do not just barge through the door. We are to enter His Gates with Thanksgiving and enter His courts with Praise. When we enter into prayer, we are entering into the very Holy of Holies and we are in the very Presence of THE KING. When we pray as a Messianic Community, we are also bonding together as One In Messiah. We are bearing one another’s burdens and connecting with one another as we come before The Throne Of Grace and are truly coming together as One In Messiah.

Since YESHUA The Messiah is YEHOVAH in the Flesh, He alone is the Mediator between GOD and man. Praying to YESHUA is not a violation of this Jewish principle of prayer since He Himself is The YEHOVAH Almighty. To pray in His Name is to be able to come into the Holy of Holies because of the Blood of the Covenant. You can not go into the Holy of Holies with being covered by the blood of YESHUA our Sacrifice. To pray in YESHUA's Name is to say I am able to enter the Throne room because a sacrifice has been made on my behalf.

Heb 9:11 But when the Messiah appeared as cohen gadol of the good things that are happening already, then, through the greater and more perfect Tent which is not man- made (that is, it is not of this created world), Heb 9:12 he entered the Holiest Place once and for all. And he entered not by means of the blood of goats and calves, but by means of his own blood, thus setting people free forever. Heb 9:13 For if sprinkling ceremonially unclean persons with the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer restores their outward purity; Heb 9:14 then how much more the blood of the Messiah, who, through the eternal Spirit, offered himself to GOD as a sacrifice without blemish, will purify our conscience from works that lead to death, so that we can serve the living GOD! Heb 10:19 So, brothers, we have confidence to use the way into the Holiest Place opened by the blood of YESHUA. Heb 10:20 He inaugurated it for us as a new and living way through the parokhet, by means of his flesh. Heb 10:21 We also have a great cohen over GOD’s household. Heb 10:22 Therefore, let us approach the Holiest Place with a sincere heart, in the full assurance that comes from trusting – with our hearts sprinkled clean from a bad conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

We have been immersed in The Mikveh and Cleansed by the blood of YESHUA and can now enter into the Holiest Place as His Chosen, Set Apart People, His Holy Priesthood, His Holy Nation – Israel.

James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Read Psalm 119: 137-144

Psa 119:137צ(Tzadeh) You are righteous, YEHOVAH; and your rulings are upright.
