2021 Memorial Day of Fallen Soldiers

Civilians and soldiers gather by graves of Israeli soldiers during a Memorial Day ceremony for fallen soldiers and victims of attacks, at the military cemetery at Mount Herzl, in Jerusalem, Wednesday, April 14, 2021. On Israel Memorial Day, the most solemn day on Israel's national calendar, people stood at attention while a two-minute siren sounded around the country and held remembrance ceremonies at cemeteries.
2021 COUNTING OF THE OMER
Counting of the Omer starts at sundown on March 28, 2021,
and ends at nightfall on May 16, 2021.
Counting of the Omer (or Sefirat Ha'omer, Hebrew: ספירת העומר) is a verbal counting of each of the forty-nine days between the Biblical holy days of Pesach and Shavuot. This mitzvah derives from the Torah commandment to count forty-nine days beginning from the day on which the Omer, a sacrifice containing an omer-measure of barley, was offered in the Temple in Jerusalem, up until the day before an offering of wheat was brought to the Temple on Shavuot. The Counting of the Omer begins on the second day of Passover (the 16th of Nisan), and ends the day before the holy day of Shavuot, the 'fiftieth day.'
2021 Israel Independence Day
